Reminiscing

Its been so long since Ive been on the blog. I got lost in the sauce and have found my way back. Organically inconsistent and naturally persistent, a mix i couldn't dream up if I tried, lol. This is a poem equally as ancient as my last post, about unrequited "love" or whatever you call it. Enjoy -
Lay me down in a bed of roses
Call me beautiful a dozen times
As lovely as it is there is still an emptiness
In my spine ---
Pieces of my fortress missing
We shared something in common once
But i won't go rummaging and digging
Instead,
I hope that footprints of our memories
Will find their way home
and last
Just a second longer than they did in my bones
